Bettinson brace seals win for Holwell!

In a stuffy match Holwell emerged the victors again missing numerous chances but always being in control in this match.

Radford had a point to prove to many after their 9-0 thumping by Blaby midweek and it was evident in the effort and industry shown.

However they could not handle Sam Bettinson up front for Holwell and he put the home side in front on 26mins with a tremendous volley from the left hand side of the eighteen yard box leaving keeper Apentis no chance as the ball hit the back of the net on 26mins.

The half continued with Holwell dominating but not able to increase their lead with the home side's re-shuffled back four coping with the visitors attack. HT 1-0

The second half was much the same neither team managing to get total control and it looked like Holwell would have to get another to kill the game off and it took until the 72nd minute for Bettinson to grab his second and send Holwell clear.

John King managed to wriggle his way through for a consolation goal on 90 +1mins but this was too late to change the final result.

Holwell are away to Greenwood Meadows next week and hope to continue good progress.
