BORROWASH VICTORIA 3 HOLWELL SPORTS 1
The visitors started well and kept Borrowash at bay, but the match was clearly going to be an uphill battle and on 25 minutes Holwell were undone by a screamer of a goal from left-back Adam Betteridge.
Holwell kept the score to 1-0 at half-time and showed they were up for the fight in the second half.
Starting the better, Holwell drew level when Michael Stevenson sweetly chipped the keeper from 20 yards a minute after the break
Borrowash upped their game and went back in front when Martin Daniel scored direct from a disputed free kick.
And the game was won on 72 minutes when Lee Sutton was played onside and set free to slide a shot past Cragg. Holwell put up a good fight with Stubbs and Rose working well together at the back for the first time.
Chris Hibbitt worked hard in midfield with strong challenges, winning the ball for Stevenson to play in front men Gordon and Kirkby. But Borrowash were just too organised and strong at the back and opportunities for Holwell were very limited.
